I bought some beer on the way home as I feel strangely happy today. It's been a productive day but I think it's been a day of progress, or at least signs that things are moving in the right direction.
Did some hours in the office today and successfully managed to wing chatting about really technical stuff without understanding it (I even cracked a techie joke about URLs and people chuckled...god I'm great).
Then had a meeting about a freeview show, and somehow ended up with a regular, 12 minute slot in every episode, all six of them. That's 72 minutes worth. That's a lot of new material, that needs to be written by 9th June, but will get me to a much wider audience.
Then bought some new drumsticks and some new shirts, and then met up with the lovely Meg to discuss our Christmas musical, the ideas were just flowing, it's gonna be awesome.
And then dinner with old friends Audrey and Michael, who I haven't seen for a long time. It was lovely, really lovely, because it just confirmed how different I am these days, how I've progressed from those days chatting in the kitchen at the old job...the progress I've made, the projects I'm doing, the stuff I could only dreamed of back then. Sometimes I don't realise this, but it's all good, really.
