Slow drive back from Wolverhampton. I don't wish to moan about this all of the time, but they really are just digging up most of the country, aren't they? Is there a road that's actually open in the UK?

Good show, though.

Was in for literally just a couple of hours, during which I replied to a bunch of emails and confirmed some more sackings for the film. That's nearly there now. I really want to get this novel and film finished before August, just so I know that when I'm at the fringe I have all those projects in the bag. Want to get this sitcom nailed, too, that's been in my head, and finish writing the book for the 4th Lab musical...I'm feeling quite excitable at the moment.

Off to Colchester with the band. Odd but brilliant, intimate venue, with outstanding technical team and we were looked after very well. Supporting an acclaimed American singer-songwriter who was touring the UK, she was lovely but her manager/roadie/whatever he is was by far one of the rudest people we've ever met. So rude, seriously, such a tosser. We retaliated by eating a majority of the shared rider, and just letting him know, in passive-aggressive manner, how much we enjoyed his company. Gig was great, mind. Set: Fine Life, Face in the Water, She Says, Hold On, Bonnie & Clyde, Standing Next to Me, Take a Ride, Fire, Old Man (cover), Grown Up a Little, Another Universe, Shut Up & Dance, Marathon Man, Ghost Town.
