Sunday 24th May 2015

So, 34 then. Long day; up early for 4 gigs in the middle of nowhere (quite near Newbury). We travelled in 2 cars, which is the norm for these shows, and somehow my 'navigator' Alister and I managed to take 5 wrong turnings. We were on the site on time, but missed the first show - which was at midday. Frustrating, we could hear G and V bash through the set without us, but just couldn't get quite make it to the stage.

Had this revelation that the cream I've been using as moisturiser, isn't actually moisturiser. That explains a lot.

With our next set not until 4pm we killed a bit of time on the very odd site. Lots of people shooting things, and dogs jumping through fire hoops. Fell asleep for a bit, and then played a sleepy set in front of a polite, if family-based audience. Set: Fine Life, Face in the Water, Standing Next to Me, Fire, Shut Up & Dance, Old Man, Take a Ride, Marathon Man, Ghost Town, Beautiful You.

Our next two sets were for the organisers/crew/the festival owner. Managed to combine both sets into one, it felt like a pointless gig that ended up with us having to cover a One Direction song to please a toddler.

Tired, long drive home.
