Got quite a lot done today; in between 6 hours in the office I managed to confirm an awesome sacking for Thursday, and managed to squeeze some more gigs into my already somewhat rammed schedule. There's a day in June I'm particularly looking forward to - 3 gigs in one day with 3 different bands. Ah, just like the good old days...
Really want to find the time to get this novel finished. If I can get the novel and the film finished before August then I think I'll really enjoy Edinburgh a lot more.
Evening covers trio gig; nice fun, those shows, undemanding mentally, a good work out physically, a nice vibe to it all. And good money, of course. Alister has pulled out of the 'Make or Break...' show, which has really, really pissed me off. Seriously, why agree to it in the first place? It's difficult to be angry with one of your best friends, but I am really annoyed by this - he could have just said no in the first place. I've got a few pianists lined up, will approach them tomorrow.
But then I got back to a really serious email. It's unfair to give details about it on a blog like this, but it's relating to one of my new colleagues - horrible, shocking, tragic news. Puts everything into perspective; tomorrow is going to be a bit strange.
