Couldn't get Corby, but got Needham Market instead - looks nice. The promoter is really, really keen.
Did a few hours in the office, they all loved that someone fell asleep in my show last night. I think self-deprecation is the way to win these guys over.
In a moment of panic, knowing that my show now opens next week, I emailed a bunch of close friends offering them a last-minute lounge show. Luckily, Heather stepped in and I did the show to her and Vaughan, two absolutely brilliant people. I loved doing the show to them, so relaxed, nice vibes, lovely people.
The show was much better tonight; I shifted a few things around, added in a few lines. Bits of it still don't work (my intentionally long rant about people who wear ties in Pizza Express still isn't working) but a lot of it does. It's going to be fine, you know.
Confirmed Vaughan for the soap (turns out I was emailing his old email account, hence his lack of replies) and then realised half the cast still haven't given me their availability for filming...we were supposed to start filming this Saturday. I can't afford to lose another week.
