Just how good was yesterday?! I woke up, thinking it was all a dream. It wasn't, it was just amazing.
Breakfast at the venue, and then home. Slow, hungover trip home.
Got back by 4.30pm, dozed off for a bit.
Evening lounge show around my friend's house who is terminally ill. Obviously there's an odd, fragile vibe about it all, but she's in good spirits still, remarkably. The show was okay, it's certainly a work in progress but it is making progress. I always feel guilty in these situations for not giving the audience a 'finished' product, but this is the process I have to go through. It's a really fun show, you know, I'm not on great form with it, but it has a lovely structure and some big laughs in there. Heather saw it for a second time and pointed out that it starts and ends really well, but I lose my way in the middle. 3 more lounge shows next week and then the tour. Quietly optimistic, and knackered.
