Sunday 24th April 2016

Much needed lie-in after late night Dad's Army binge, and then around to Mum's for Sunday lunch.

After that, back with the band, long trip up (or down?) to Cookley, a village hall gig. Big room, about half sold-out which for a Sunday night in an unknown town is great.

First half felt like a struggle, they weren't quite as into it as we have been accustomed to recently, but we had them by the second half. In fact, it was really strong in places, there's a possibility that we're enjoying it more than the audience, but with so much life and energy on stage I can't see how people would not enjoy this. It's a polished, well rehearsed show we've got now.

Long trip home, back by 1.30am.

Got an email from a big-name TV producer inviting me to send over sitcom ideas/treatments for a sitcom that would run for a long time, and suitable for both the US and UK markets. This is both exciting but mind boggling in equal measures.
