There was a point today where I looked at my schedule and realised that I'm not as in control of things as I thought I was...then I sat down and spent an hour writing and sending press releases for all of the current projects and realised actually everything is going to be just fine. I just need an hour sometimes to take stock.
Our run of big charity comedy shows is creeping up, so spent a bit of time working on that, and then did some 'proper' work - freelance stuff.
Called Mum, who has changed her mind again about where she wants to move, and then drove over to Histon to meet up with the guys - for some reason my engine warning light has gone off. Do cars just fix themselves? Awesome!
London gig with the band, tiniest venue ever and a real struggle to get the kit on stage; I went for a bass drum/hi-hat/snare/crash set-up, which works for most of the songs apart from those which were reliant on toms - so 'Just a Car' and 'Earthquake', both of which felt like a struggle. I love it when we play tiny venues like this though because we ram them, there was a really nice buzz in the audience tonight and we played 2 new tracks.
Home by 2am, which is a victory.
