Can't find my bloody passport. We're not heading out till October but as the promoter is paying for our flights I need to scan my passport in and I can't find it anywhere...I haven't left the country in years so it must be in the house somewhere...
Long day in the studio with GCP. We're old school pals and played in a band together in our early-twenties. He's pushing his career really hard at the moment and his second album is doing really well for funding so it's nice that he's got me in as a session drummer to play drums for it. Did the first 4 songs today, arrangements needed a little work rhythmically as my initial plans to replicate his pre-programmed grooves didn't work (as the producer says: you're trying to replicate the drum parts written by someone who isn't a drummer) so I had to do my own thing which didn't impede on the tracks. 8 hours later and we got it done. Longer day than planned but it's the results that matter and they sound great.
Got back, did some freelancing and sent out more emails about the murder mystery. Not that I actually have any gaps in my diary anyway...
