Up early, walked through lovely Harrogate and over to the train station. Train to Leeds, then long train to Newcastle. Train to Riding Mill, bus from Riding Mill to the Metrocentre Interchange. Bus to Consett Bus Station, and then taxi to Blanchland.
Very welcoming venue and complimentary accommodation was nothing short of stunning. Had a chat to a couple of the locals and felt great ahead of the show but the show itself (sold out) just didn't really work tonight. Mostly because of four old ladies on a table at the front who were just never going to like it. The rest of the room were into but they spoilt it for everyone and I focused on them, to try and win them over - which was never going to work and the whole show felt tense.
On paper perhaps a good show, but I honestly felt like I was struggling tonight.
