Tough day with family stuff; this blog isn't a place to go into details, but a long day in hospital. Things aren't great, a difficult time ahead, which was completely unexpected.
Evening met up with Esther, Izzy, Edd and Matt to read through 'the' script, The Return Journey - the script I've been agonising over for the last few weeks, the script I intend to send to the big producer who is interested in my work. Fortunately, it appears it's an absolute winner; the structure is sound, the characters are very defined, you can see how it can last for a series given the situation and, most importantly, there are plenty of laughs. We read through it twice tonight, some minor tweaking needed, but it feels like a bright and original script. Considering some of the shit I've written this year, this is all a bit of a relief.
