Friday 27th March 2015

I sent a lot of emails today; having been working the last few days it was a real chance to catch up with everything. Emailed two different acts about the possibility of me writing a musical around their tunes - both have agreed so can get cracking on those. Had an idea for a new quiz-based podcast, partially based on just how fast I was talking last night, and emailed a venue about that - we're discussing dates for it now. Started booking Christmas tour dates and confirmed a couple more celebrities for the film.

Then over to Histon to jump into the band van and head off for 3 days away for the northern leg of the tour. We haven't really done north before, so whilst it feels like we're really starting to get a name for ourselves elsewhere in the country this was very much uncharted territory. All 3 shows this weekend will be pub gigs, a chance to try and win some fans by playing in their local. The first show, in Derby, felt very 'local' at first; a tiny pub and as a full band it looked like it wouldn't work. It did though - by the end we had them in the palm of our hands, and our first gig without a lead guitarist worked quite well in the end.

Then we all got drunk in a cottage and chatted till 5am. I love this band.
