I'm an idiot. Seriously; how hard can it be to put things in a diary, and then not agree to do other things on the same day? Bloody hard, so it seems. I've got a real dilemma for Thursday night; a very well-paid show verses a project I'm loyal to and can't let down? Seriously, get a grip, Richards.
Morning getting frustrated by intermittent internet connection, but still managed to send out a bunch of emails about the film and try/fail to get a part-time job.
Afternoon spent working on 'The Return Journey' - the script I've been writing for the last week or so. There was a point this afternoon when I just stopped and thought, "I'm onto something really special with this one." I really believe that; it intentionally doesn't go anywhere, but it's the entrapment of the characters, the claustrophobia, that really makes it work. It won't be to everyone's taste, but hopefully the producer who has asked to see one of my scripts will like it.
Evening spent in Newmarket (so close to me, but equally it's so hard to find anything in Newmarket - it's a bastard of a place), helping out the 4th Labyrinth guys as they had to rock out to test the PA system for a rock festival. Ending up playing a few of their songs and enjoyed myself very much with them, knowing Claudia and Marcel from the band made things a bit easier. And then they sacked me for the film, in a really fun way.
