My 'difficult' school was difficult again today, it was just chaos. Why do I put myself through this every week?
Over to my other Thursday school, which is usually fine but today three of my five there were away on a school trip so it felt pointless me being in. Still, it meant I could pop home for a bit and chill out (catch up on emails) before popping out for one very relaxed lesson.
In the evening I performed Harvey G for the first time in a while, this time at the house of a multi award-winning songwriter (who has written one of the biggest pop songs of all time) so a bit of pressure, and there was also somebody from the BBC there. I was really happy with the performance, as were 7 of the 8 people who attended.
It was an intense performance, really intense, because I felt like I was really on it, but one woman ran out crying before the end. I found out later that he son had recently committed suicide, and this show was "too close to the bone" for her. I feel sorry for her, she must be going through unimaginable pain, but also...why was she invited in the first place?
The BBC person loved it, and told me so for the next half an hour, describing it as "remarkable" and gave me a cracking quote for my future flyers. A BBC quote can go a long way so I'm very grateful.
Excessive night.
