Morning lesson cancelled due to student illness, which meant I could sleep in and then not teach till midday. Three private lessons today (ON A SUNDAY) (first one: awesome, second one: great kid, asks a lot of questions, third one: fantastic, a jazz lesson) before heading out to our charity night that I put together.
An unrehearsed choir, an unrehearsed house band who had never met before, a new band and some comedians trying new material. It was every bit as shambolic as it should have been, but with so much love and energy, everyone actually had a brilliant time. We raised a couple hundred quid for charity and everyone left with a smile on their faces. Could have been a better show, but I doubt we could have had a better audience. Lovely, really lovely, I enjoyed that.
