Been editing since 9am, As I write this it's now Wednesday, 12.43am. Still editing. I'm not actually editing for the final cut of the film, either, no - that's Karen's job. I'm just wanting to piece it altogether myself first just so I can see how long it'll actually be and if the plot flows with all of these sackings. A demo, basically.
I've spent the day working on the film, looking at each scene individually, working out which bits to cut, which to use, and it made me really happy. I've been through a lot with this movie, and over the last year we've filmed some proper magical moments. There's so many great bits there, you know, we'd have to do something really wrong to fuck this up. The thing I like about it is the range of material - there's some real bloke-ish, thuggish rock stuff, yet also some beautiful classical music. Today has confirmed to me though that this will work, as much as I don't envy Karen's task of (re) piecing it altogether no matter how extensive my notes are.
Popped out for a little respite - and made a promo video with G and V for our covers project. Filmed some songs outside, and as Vikki started editing it, Griff, Al and I played football on the Playstation for a bit (I lost all three games) and we had pizza. A lovely few hours.
And then back to the editing. I can't work out if my PC is slow, or my editing ability is. Either way, nearly 1am, nowhere near there yet, but I have made a promo whilst waiting.
It's one of those days where I tried to stay focussed but could see my phone buzzing the whole time. Today alone I got offered 3 gigs (not available), a tour with a band (might do it) and a couple of adverts (will do it). I need more hours in the day,
