I didn't enjoy today so much, just one of those days where things felt a bit frustrating. There was a clash of dates so my 2-night run in Louth has to be rescheduled - they dwelled on getting back to me, I had another offer, I had to let it go. But finding two evenings free in a row has been an issue; I've offered them a couple nights in May.
A much quieter day. Tried and failed to convince London friends to come and see the show in London, but I shouldn't be relying on friends in the first place. I ask too much of people sometimes. The Guildford venue are concerned about lack of ticket sales despite the fact that Helen has done a brilliant job and got me in all the local papers. Really shouldn't have turned down that job yesterday by the sounds of things.
On a plus side, rehearsed the new show and I know my lines...almost a bit too easy, I'm just so comfortable with this show already.
Evening saw the excellent Wave Pictures in Cambridge, proof, if it were ever needed, that if you keep going in this industry you will actually get somewhere.
