Long day in the studio working on Steve's album; 6 tracks today, another 5 on Tuesday. Considering the rehearsals were...concerning, this worked really, really well today. Always tricky being in a studio where the drum booth is completely separate from the rest of the band, especially when you're trying to build a fairly instant rapport with the bassist and to get a groove locked in. Luckily, Lee is one of the most acclaimed and brilliant bassists around (and she's also one of the loveliest) and we did a good job today. A lengthy session, but a good start to the release.
