Christmas tunes are brilliant and keep me going, even when I'm bordering on exhaustion.
Slept in (looking at my schedule, I get to sleep in 2 Sundays a month), then taught a midday session which was 'fine'. Good student, almost too good, we just went through a bunch of songs and got her gig-ready.
4 hour rehearsal with Greg and band ahead of our festive shows. Lots of chords/harmonies/stuff that drummers don't need to care about, but the guys are all very lovely and I enjoy their company a lot.
After that, A and myself went to our final wedding prep course, the fourth one, which taught us lots of 'lessons', such as don't cheat, don't be a prick, etc. All common sense, yes?
Did a spot of writing, replied to a bunch of teaching emails (lots of the parents of my students are buying their kids drum kits for Christmas...) and, if I finish this blog in time, asleep by midnight...
