A bit like Poch at Spurs, I feel like I'm stagnating a little bit. Five lessons today, but mostly with students I've had for a while and, if it wasn't for the incentive of the gig, I'm worried I'm losing their interest a little. That was certainly the case for lessons 1, 2 and 4. Lesson 3 was typically chaotic, but I like it that way (today he played drums with two toy guns instead of sticks) and lesson 5 was great because I've found a way of working with this student and his parents are a total joy.
Or maybe I'm just overthinking it too much. Maybe I'm working too hard? Don't be silly, this is a job, I technically work less than people in 'real' professions.
Evening met up with Greg to discuss the 12 gigs of Christmas idea (and confirm it) and his Folk Cabaret night, which we'll be launching next year.
