Both producers have rejected my radio script, both of them saying it just didn't make them laugh enough.
I'm not really achieving anything here, am I? I'm 34 next month, I'm living in my overdraft, nobody in the industry is particularly interested in what I do (and I figure you only get one chance with these people), I tour my little solo show around in the desperate hope I get 10 people in the audience, I'm working so incredibly hard but I don't have a single thing to show for it. I'm knackered, single and a bit of a mess.
Izzy, always the voice of reasoning, allowed me 24 hours to sulk before getting on with it again. Tomorrow morning I'm going to send this script to every producer in the country - someone, somewhere must like it.
Evening gig with the band, up in Bishops Stortford. First gig with Adam depping on lead, great show that - absolutely rammed, we played very well indeed. Another packed audience for one of our headline gigs without us really trying - very positive times indeed. Short set, about a million support acts. Set: Fine Life, Face in the Water, Hold On, Standing, Ghost Town, Shut Up & Dance, Beautiful You, Somebody to Love (cover, encore)
