Tuesday 16th April 2019

Final day in France, went back over to see what was left of the Notre-Dame, but in reality couldn't get anywhere near it for obvious reasons. Did see a pretty host from CNN do her thing, though.

I like Paris but it has far too many pickpockets. Twice today someone tried to steal from my pocket - firstly a young girl (can't have been older than 16) then an old man in a suit, both times I managed to stop them and they fled with nothing. It's unnerving and amazing I returned back to the UK with my wallet, phone, passport and bollocks (which one of them was almost certainly going for, assuming it was something else). It seems to be a big problem over there.

Still, we had a nice time. Various protests from the staff at Eurostar threatened to derail our journey home (no pun intended) (totally intended it) but despite delays all over the place we got back with a combined trip (Paris - London - Cambridge - Shelford) of about 4 and a half hours, which felt much longer.

Home, back to planning. I'm in a happy place, I've had a lovely time with A, but equally...I've got stuff to do, things to achieve.
