I hate not having a car. Up super early, A gave me a lift to Cambridge station, I got a train, and then had to walk 20 minutes just to get into work for the teaching assistant stuff. Everyone there was very lovely today, it was fine, but I was clearly niggled by having to rely on public transport. If only for one day.
Got a train to Ely, then a cab to the garage and picked up my car...the repairs were basically the same amount as the car cost me.
Niggled, I drove to A's, picked her up, and then off to Shepreth for my regular monthly night there. What started off being a bit of a weird one (I accidentally booked a racist comedian, he was on early, luckily, before some of the audience had arrived) turned into a really, really lovely show - all of the acts (apart from the racist one, obviously) were superb, I tried out some new bits that really worked and I drove home just generally really happy that creatively I'm in quite a good place at the moment.
