Yep, drum teaching stuff is my future, I think. This year I seemed to have accidentally picked up enough experience with it at both of the colleges, and I think there's something about the 'let's not do this academically, let me teach you how to be your own player' way of working that appeals.
On top of all my emails, surprised Mum by popping by and taking her out for the day. Her choice of destination? Cambourne. Fair enough. It's mostly because they have a Morrisons there.
Then off to teach in Cambridge, which went really well, and it was nice to have the head of music in to see the legendary percussive tones that we were creating.
Then a lovely rehearsal with choir/band for the Christmas gig, after a quick catch up with Esther. Post-rehearsal, dumped my car and carried on drinking with Esther, which was lovely to catch up even more.
