First day in the office this year for a spot of freelancing, I was the only person in (out of a possible 4). Good, though, I get stuff done when I'm in a nice office with speedy internet.
Did a comfortable 10-3, and then home to work on the new show. The plan was to always have this initially as a bit of a best of, as it's all audiences who have never seen me before, with half an hour or so of new bits in there too (it's a 90 minute show). I'll gig it well and by the May tour it should be an entirely new hour, giving me enough gigs to get it good by Edinburgh. At the moment, all the bits from the previous shows are gelling really, really well together, which is nice as it'll be a decent show to watch, but equally worrying because it probably means a lot of my material from the last three years have been in the same tone. The new stuff is...well, it's getting there. The intro is fucking amazing, if I get it right. It's ambitious and could go horribly wrong, but if I can pull that off it could become the staple part of my live act.
Then tour admin took over, again. Posters and stuff, all needs printing, just never enough time, is there?
