Did a little freelancing from home and had a good chat with the boss on the phone about where this is all going. Uncertainty afoot, but that's the perils of being a 'contractor' I guess. Got freaked out by a letter from HMRC which is a blunt reminder that I need to re-submit my tax return, this time not putting my 'earnings' in the 'personal debt' box as they seem really worried about me, which is lovely of them but not needed...I'm doing okay, I'm just a bit rubbish at forms. Will sort that next week.
Any anxiety over that has come from this though (as much as it was also possibly just the Red Bull) has all gone into a nice little song which may find its way into the new show. Got lots of stuff now for the new show, still no idea if any of it is any good at this stage but enough older material to get me through the tour. That's opening perhaps a little sooner than I'd like.
Spent quite a bit of time working on the show today and found a structure for the whole thing, which kind of goes against my initial plan for it to be reasonably narrative-free but I just can't help myself.
Evening caught up with a comedian chum for a coffee and chat about lots of stuff, and then over to Vix's birthday drinks which were lovely.
