Back on the road, an early start and an early-is crossing back to the mainland, before a 3 hour drive down to Devon. Tired band.
This is a gig we stormed last year without G, who randomly pulled out. Obviously, we don't have him at all now, but we're settled enough. Sold-out show, amazingly good dinner and plenty of free beer. The set was fine, audience only really got into it when we went into a covers set in the second half. I guess at the end of the day we're being paid to entertain, and we certainly did that. My Auntie Carol turned up and danced at the front, which was slightly weird.
Drank late-night whisky with the landlord of our B+B and then Vix (my roommate for these out-of-town gigs) and I stayed up till very late chatting about everything, and drinking cider, as the boys slept in the other room. Top girl, one of the best.
