Up early to head off to the Cotswolds for the night with A. It was part of her birthday present that I got her ages ago...gin tasting and a fancy hotel.
Really early start, but we were there in good time (this car is brilliant) and the gin/whisky tour was amazing. Drinking at 11am, though? Good fun, but we were pissed out our faces by lunchtime.
Spent a large chunk of our afternoon then just spent in the hotel room (I'll spare you the details), before hanging out in the spa and steam room for a while which was lovely.
Shame the restaurant at the hotel was so bad. Fancy place, but the service was shocking and I had an upset stomach after a dodgy steak (I'll spare you the details).
Still, nice to get away, isn't it?
