Final day in the UK for a bit before the adventures begin tomorrow.
Did 5 hours freelancing stuff in the office, before popping over to see Mum. It felt weirdly emotional; as a family we never travelled much, happy in our small-town, comfortable ways, and I could see that Mum was worried about what was going to happen. That made me worried, too, I've never been outside of Europe before. Still, there's no way of getting out of this now - I can't let the band down...
Got home, packed, sprayed my clothes in mosquito stuff and went to sleep feeling both excited and nervous.
