The reason why I came from Newcastle last night, rather than stay there like a normal person would, was because I was needed for family duties today; taking mum to visit dad in hospital etc. That took up most of the day, as did my mum telling me how tired I look. She had a point; she kept on making it.
Not sure what to do about the show tomorrow; it's 6 hours away, it's on an island, the venue aren't replying to their emails. Shall I still do it?
Evening I was a guest speaker at an event in Ely, talking about being a writer/drummer. Great to catch up with good friends, Mike and Karen. Speech was mediocre, everyone seemed to enjoy it enough. I wouldn't have enjoyed that.
