Saturday 27th June 2015

A lie-in, an actual proper lovely lie-in this morning; my body needed it. Dowsing rehearsal (with choir) was lovely, I always feel very welcome, and the set is coming together nicely for the show next month.

Then dashed over to Histon, where we all jumped in Gaf's car and headed up to Rugby to headline a festival there. Nice event, overran a lot, not a huge turnout but those who were there were very much there for us and we bashed through the stuff they wanted to hear. Set: Fine Life, Face in the Water, Bluebird, Standing Next to Me, Ghost Town, Marathon Man, California for a Girl, Old Man (cover), Shut Up and Dance, Beautiful You, Somebody to Love (cover, encore)

Then, after a couple whiskys with our host (that knocked me sideways...that stuff ripped through my throat) we were back on the road, down to a Travel Lodge in Newbury, where we sat in the hotel room for a bit, drank, bantered, and eventually I crashed out at 3am.
