Back at the college for TA work, I'm clearly in favour there today as they gave me the nicer kids to watch over, including the new one who is 8 but easily brighter than me.
Two cracking drum lessons with two of my regulars, followed by an odd first lesson with a new student who insisted on doing everything via a textbook. When I put the textbook in a different room and asked him politely to do things "my way" he seemed uncomfortable and I gave him the number of a drum teacher who would do things in a more "academic" manner. By the end of the lesson I got him around to my way of thinking and he was keen to do more with me, but I'm not sure if my schedule can fit him in.
Got back and did show admin, till 2am.
