Jazz play to 2 jazz fans, was lovely. I'm loving this.
So rowdy for 'Box' today - 41 people. Performance was rushed and messy, they liked it but I was on flustered form. Calm down, Richards. Maybe I just don't like big crowds?
Was booked for an additional performance of Box, to cover for somebody else, over at a different venue. I turned up, they weren't expecting me and, if anything, were really rude to me. I'll leave them a bad review somewhere...this is the fringe, we're all busy, there's no need for lack of manners.
2 guest slots - I was wrongly booked to do stand-up in a jazz bar but somehow got away with it, and then I stepped in to perform at the Christmas show again.
History of Pop was just chaos tonight - I had a guest choir of 28 and a sold out venue...it's a big room, too. As it should be with this one, I barely had control over the show but it worked better than anything I've ever done before, just absolutely joyous - that moment where performers and audience connect and it totally explodes. I've somehow created a monster here. A ridiculous evening...in a great way.
