Was up late last night, trying to write more of the Oscar show but eventually realised it was rubbish - it's not progression, it was just safe and pointless.
Spent the morning writing more bits of the advent calendar series. Afternoon pre-recording stuff for Layby.
Evening performed Layby (solo) and advent calendar stuff (with Izzy) at the new material night. The advent calendar stuff works a treat - such fun, audience really enjoyed it. It's clear that Layby isn't as good as I thought it was, though. Got lots of laughs, but there was a clear feeling that it's more of a collection of ideas rather than a structured piece. Went home and felt quite down about it all.
